Premier League Teams Struggling In Champions League !!!!

Hi Everyone so the Champions League first group game has been and gone and it's got me thinking are the the Premier League teams going to do well this season ? Everyone Remembers the amazing times around ten years ago were the Premier League had a finalist in the Champions League 7 out of 8 years between the 2005 final and the 2012 final. Since then they have not had one club make the final and if the start of this campaign is anything to go by it doesn't look like they will in this years either although things can change quickly and hopefully at least one of the Premier League Team Can do well. So is this a dip in quality or have the other teams just improved and left the Prem teams behind ? well it got me thinking

Tactics have changed

If there's one thing I would say about Premier League football it's that it's fast ,physical and highly competitive the quality of players is high but the tactics are not as developed as they are around Europe. this is one of the reason why I think Prem teams are getting found out and why it's no surprise that Chelsea did the best last season as Jose does apply a tactical mindset to his teams just like I expect Louis Van Gaal will this season. I suppose the point I'm Making is the European teams have learned and changed there style they no how to combat The Prem teams in you're face style Look At Juventus the other day they played Man City the Premier League's In form team and beat them at home now don't get me wrong Juventus are an awesome team but there early season form has not been good yet they still managed to out smart Man City. In My opinion I believe the Prem teams need to look at there style and make a few tweaks you can't go all out attack you have to read you're opponents and keep the games tight otherwise teams like Juve and Barca and Bayern will beat you.

Defensive Football Isn't applied

So I know your probably looking at this and thinking what you want Prem Teams to park the bus and be boring well that's not what I mean what I'm trying to get at is Prem teams need to take the game in stages and learn how to kill a game off or slow a game down just trying to constantly go at you're opponent is awesome on a good day when you score 4 or 5 goals but it also leaves you wide open and it's easier to lose control. Some times in a game you need to slow it down even it's only for 10 minutes or so don't get me wrong I love the Prem for its attacking football and any team can beat anyone on there day and if I'm honest I'm not a fan of slow football but in the Champions League Things are different and sometimes you have to defend before you can attack.

So overall I don't think Prem teams are that far behind and I do believe they will become a strong force in Europe once again they just need to learn off teams like Juventus and Barca just like they did when Prem teams were dominant. Things change fast and there is a lot of quality players in the Premier League the quality is never in doubt its now just about getting the tactics right I have no doubt we will see Prem teams dominate Europe again and it will be soon they just need to sort these last few problems out.

Let me know What you think ?

Thanks

Trust In Mourinho Is Key !!!!

Hey everyone how are we all ? So the last couple of days have been dominated with stories of Jose Mourinho and quite frankly it makes me laugh this is a manager that has a proven winning mentality
yet everyone is trying to kick the boot in. Don't get me wrong his form this season has been really poor and I do Believe that he needs to shake things up a little and drop certain none performing players and I do agree that if results carry on and the team start to loose belief in him then yes he can have no complaints if they decide he needs to go because football is a results industry but lets not jump the gun just yet. The path to being one of the greats is never smooth sailing there's no easy route to becoming one of the best but Jose has done more than enough to prove he will go down as a legend once he retires. Chelsea would be daft to take action just yet and I for one wouldn't sack him regardless he's building a team he won't win the league every year but he will always be there or there about's just like Sir Alex Ferguson was.

Hard Times Come And GO

Football is full of defining moments well to be fair it not just football it's basically all of life. No Matter what path we take there will always be moments were we have to overcome struggle to triumph and this is the same with Mourinho he is proven, he is the best manager in the world (Post Sir Alex Ferguson Because Sir Alex Ferguson will always be the best in my opinion) He will overcome this and he will carry on  winning trophies again Chelsea just need to stick with him the press will try to paint a picture of fallout's and arguments and if I'm being honest Mourinho's behavior hasn't been perfect this season and he has made mistake's but it's only because he cares and its important to remember that. (this coming From Man Utd fan as well)

What to Change

I actually don't think Mourinho needs to change that much although I do think he made a few mistakes in the window as I mentioned in a previous blog of mine I'll put the link in so you can check it out.
The window is over now though and I think he needs to look at his squad and really be honest on who's dropped in levels and who should be given a chance for example Loic Remy has not been given a chance even giving someone like Loftus-Cheek a game. It's a wake up call to the senior players and shows that there not irreplaceable. At the End of the day it all comes down to How Mourinho feels and deals with the current situation however I truly do believe he will turn this around he is a born winner and already won Countless trophies Chelsea never really replaced him the first time they would be foolish to try again.

Let me me know what you think Mourniho should change and why in the comments below

Thanks

My Top Five Premier League Signings Of The Summer !!!!

Hey everyone so over the last couple of days I've spoken about who I think is going to win certain awards like player of the season and young player and so on and I thought to cap off the Summer Transfer window I'd do my Top five signings and see who you lot rate as the best. It's been an amazing summer window and I've had so much to talk about but now we have the season starting this will be my last transfer based entry for a little while.

So who's been the best signing ? Well Obviously there's been a lot of big transfers but I'm going to narrow it down to 5.

1-RaheeSterling

So Raheem Sterling is a player that I've spoken alot about lately that being said it doesn't change the fact that he is a really big signing for Man City he's totally given them a new dimension his pace and dribbling has given them a cutting edge and he looks like a player that is only going to get better and better. Overall I no he came at a big price but already he's made a difference and I think he is Man City's best signing this Summer

2- Matteo Darmian

Matteo  Darmian is the all action modern day full back with the classic Italian twist with runs up and down the flank that remind you of  Dani Alves yet with the touch of Italian class he really looks the real deal and is fast becoming one of Man Utd's best signings In a recent poll I did to go with my last blog Matteo Darmian won the vote on being Man Utd's best signing. He's really impressed so far and he looks like a great in the making with great attacking skills and even better defensively.

3-Andre Ayew

Andre Ayew is looking at this rate the bargain of the season signed on a free for Swansea scored three goals and got a couple of assist plus picked up the player of the month award. He's fast strong and is a really creative force from the wings I read a good blog on Ayew which I'll put a link in below but overall he's looking like a great signing and one that at 25 still has room to improve.

4-Pedro

Pedro is a player that in my opinion Chelsea didn't need That being said he has proven how good he is and it's only because of the insane talents that Barcelona had that they let him go. He's taken to the Premier League with ease and looks at home he can score he can pass and he works tremendously hard he is a great player and it looks like Chelsea have made a great signing. As He proving how good he really is.

5-Petr Cech

Petr Cech has gained a lot of publicity since his move across London and don't get me wrong I did feel sorry for David Ospina as I felt he was a great keeper however you can't turn down the chance to get someone with the quality of Petr Cech he's a leader and a world class keeper who has seen it all and won it all at club level with him between the sticks the defense can feel a little more confident and I think he will have a big effect on them this season

So These are my top five signings who do you think is the best ? And who do you think I should of Included let me no in the comments below.

Thanks

Morgan Schneiderlin Man Utd's Most Important Signing This Season ?

So the transfer window is over and all the teams are now set until January there's been some huge signings this summer and even some record breaking ones now don't get me wrong the signings of Raheem Sterling and Petr Cech are really important for there respective teams and the Premier League has Seen some really exciting players join it's ranks (I may do my top five signings soon). Man Utd have been the busiest in the window out off all the big teams and they have made several big name signings all of them important and brought into add quality the likes of Memphis Depay brought in to add skill and flair to the front line and players like Matteo Darmian brought into to add a defensive class something the Italians do with ease But in my opinion the most important signing Man Utd made was Morgan Schneiderlin. So I know what you're thinking Man Utd have signed all these big names and I'm getting hyped over Morgan Schneiderlin but I will explain my reasons below.

Morgan Schneiderlin is the kind of player that is hard to find he's not there to be the star or the man in the press he's there to win and carry the team forward even if no one notices. In a world were footballers are more than athletes and presented as brands Morgan Schneiderlin is a breathe of fresh air. Now don't get me wrong he's still going to have sponsorship deals he would be daft not to but the point I'm making is he is a player that doesn't go looking for press he's the engine any team would love to have the kind of player that could slot into any team with relative ease just like Nemanja Matic did at Chelsea. These are rare players the type that take care of the gritty stuff and do the things no one really notices. Most people only notice these players when they play bad because when they play bad the team will be more likely to loose because they have such an effect on the game yet when the team wins and the superstar player grabs the winner no one really pays attention yet its player like Morgan Schneiderlin and Nemanja Matic that makes these superstar players look so good.

So What does he bring well Morgan Schneiderlin brings a calmness and a organised feel to Man Utd's midfield he shields the back four and stops attacks before they gain momentum he always offers as an options for players in possession and moves the ball forward starting attacks in a simple but stylish manner. Players like this are a rare find and this is why I feel Morgan Schneiderlin is one of the best signings this summer below are some stats that shows how effective he really is.

So yeah that's my thoughts on Morgan Schneiderlin let me no what you think and who do you rate as the best signing this summer ?

Thanks

My Prediction For Premier League Young Player Of The Season

Hey everyone so yesterday I dropped my predictions for the Premier League player of the season check it out and let me no what you think I'll put a link below if you want to have a look at it however today I'm making my predictions for young player of the season it's always exciting when a young player makes that step up and over the last couple of seasons we've been treated to some exceptional talent.

So who do I think is going to win the award ? well like yesterday I'm Going to shortlist my top three let me no if there's anyone you consider in the comments below or let me no your thoughts on my selections. Anyways my predictions are below.

Raheem Sterling

Yes my first one may be quite obvious however I've been really impressed with how smoothly he's fitting into the Man City team and having already bagged a goal and a couple of assist he looks at home already playing beside Aguero and David Silva obviously it's a long season and form comes and goes through out however if he can stay fit and improve on his 7 goals he got last season there'e no reason why he can't be the deadliest youngster in the league plus lets not forget with the press he got when moving to Man City he has something to prove and I'm backing him to show everyone he's top class

Roberto Firmino

Now I understand this one is maybe one that could go either way as he is new to the league however I really do believe Firmino has the talent to go all the way and be a great player in the league he showed us in Germany he no's were the goal is and with fellow Brazilian Coutinho playing with him and the likes of Sturridge and Benteke to play off he really could be one to watch. lets not forget this is a player that scored 16 goals in 33 games for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga so if he can repeat this sort of form then he is going to be in the mix for this award.

Anthony Martial

Yes I no what you're thinking I could of gone for Harry Kane Memphis Depay even Bellerin but I'm going for Anthony Martial a player that 2 weeks ago not many people had heard off. Yes I know this is a wildcard as this is a player very new to the professional game and yes he now has a huge price tag to deal with but I'm Still going for it and here's why , football works in strange ways and in my opinion Martials season will either be a hard one for him or he will hit the ground running and be a revelation I for one truly think he will prove his critics wrong and he will show his strengths and prove he is a future star either way I'll be cheering him on for sure.

So these are my Predictions let me no what you think again I'll set up a poll for you to vote and don't forget to comment below on who you think could win the young player of the season award.

My Prediction For Premier League Player Of The Season

So the transfer window has closed and now the player's we have in the league are the one's we will be sticking with until January it's been a crazy transfer window and I'm sure you've read about all the crazy going on's especially in the Premier League. Just a tip I read a good blog on Anthony Martial by Tony Malacarne it's on his google+ you should check it out I'll put a link below for you all to follow.

But anyways back to the main point who do you think is going to win the Premier League player of the season award ?

I'm going to list a name of three players who I think could win the award and then I'll add a poll to this and see if we can get an idea of who you think will win the award.

My Three shortlisted players are:

Alexis Sanchez

Alexis had a great first season and was one of the stars of the show last season his goal in the FA cup final summed up how important he is to his team and his willingness to work hard and run at defender makes him easily one of the most exciting players in the league. He's having a little bit of a slow start mainly down to the fact that he was one of the stars of Chile's Copa America triumph however give it a couple of weeks and I expect him to be in full flow once again.

Sergio Aguero

Sergio Aguero is in my opinion the best striker in the league his control his dribble his composure it's all world class his low center of gravity makes it hard to bully him of the ball without giving away a foul plus he can lead the line by himself. This season with the back up of Sterling and David Silva plus lets no forget Kevin De Bruyne Aguero has a team that can set him up for goals all day long and if he stays fit which hopefully he will we could see him have a 30+ goal season.

Juan Mata

My last one is a little bit of a shot in the dark and possibly a bit of a gamble I could of named David Silva or Yaya Toure or even Eden Hazard but I wanted to throw a wild card in there. That's why I'm going with Juan Mata he is back to his best and Mata is as good as any of the others I've mentioned. His footballing brain is insane and he can see a move before it's even happened. He's sharp in front of goal and I feel if the huge gamble of Martial pays off and him and Depay form a good understanding Mata can be the conductor that put's all the move's together, this season I see him getting bags of goals and assist's.

So Guys these are my predictions and I believe one of these three players will win the Premier League Player of the season award.

Let me no who out of these you think would win and comment below with anyone else you think will win the award.
